Small Tears and Punctures
Small tears can compromise the waterproof integrity of your clothing.
- Clean the area. Use rubbing alcohol to clean around the tear. Let it dry completely
2. Apply a patch: Cut a fabric repair patch that is slightly larger than the tear, with rounded corners to prevent peeling.
3. Peel and stick: Carefully peel the backing off the patch and firmly press it over the tear.
4. Apply heat (if recommended): Some patches are heat-activated. If so, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for applying heat with an iron (usually on a low setting with a protective cloth).
